Florida Homeowner. I just had my Engerywise box reactivated. I have started my Green Home Improvement Plan (Phase I) by replacing my electric water heater with a 80 gallon solar water heater. The water temperature is awesome. I also have an commercial attic fan and kvar box. Just replacing my electric water heater it reduce my bill by $83.00! The Engerywise box saves me about $12.25 a month. To me any amount saved is a good amount. My dream is to get totally off the grid.

Right now it is 87 degrees in my home. I had my a/c guy check it out. My system is fine except for the energy wise box. I have been waiting for two days for Progress Energy to show up. This device has somehow stopped the air from working. All for $25. Dont bother. It helps Progress make more money.

The incentive should be $100/year. Especially since an "event" can last up to 4-hours during the hottest part of the day. Automatic cycling the A/C on and off in 10-15 minute intervals could have a negative affect on the unit and significantly raise the temp in the home. I can save much more money than $25/year by controlling my own thermostat.
