I signed-up with Fairway Green Lawn Care program this Spring. So, far they have completed 2 applications.
Back in 2009, I tried to fix my lawn and it gave good green lawn, but not for long though.

Lawn is still in bad state and I still recommend Fairway Green Lawn care service?
When they started the service program, they were upfront about what they can fix this summer and how long it will take to fix the brown, patchy backyard.
I have worked for 1 month (daily 5 hours) and I knew that its not easy to establish a tall fesque lawn by re-seeding and aeration or even de-thatching.
So, time frame they gave (2 full seasons) was agreeable. Unlike other companies (I consulted), which guaranteed good, weed free lawn by end of the year.
Late spring, my backyard was in bad shape and after 2 applications its still bad, but with less weeds.
So, Fairway Green Weed control application did work.
After second application, they left the note “Its tough to control weeds this summer and recommending slit seeding”.
I learned few things over past 4 years with respect to cost of lawn establishing new lawn (cheap to expensive)
- Core Aeration and Re-seeding
- De-thatch, core aeration and re-seeding
- Slit Seeding and Core Aeration
- Sod Cutter to remove existing brown patch, prepare ground and re-seed
- Re-Sodding (Expensive and Best)
We are trying to take the cheaper route (#3) with better chances to establish the lawn.
Even though our lawn is not green and established by using fairway green service, but I’m give positive review for delivering what they promised based on lawn care condition.

It takes 15 minutes one way drive to Laziz Briyani Corner from our place. We place to-go order before starting from home. But, its always worth the drive.

Progress Energywise device
We installed Progress Energy Energy Wise device sometime back.
So far this summer, we haven’t noticed any changes in AC usage during hot days.

I have the habit of typing the search query in Address Bar in Firefox (just like Chrome). My default search was set to Google. Last few weeks I started noticing that Time Warner/Road Runner started hijacking the 404 pages.
After searching for few minutes, I found a the following working solution.

Day 8 – Chest and Back comes after 2 days break.
Day 7 was rest day and I couldn’t find time to start Day 8 yesterday.
Chest and Back
- Completed 1 full round. No Ab Ripper X for today.
- Total number of Reps – 150 (Push ups and Bands Pull Ups)

Kenpo-X was the exercise for today in P90X.
Halfway through the video (about 30 minutes), I had the stop because of cooking accident and food was splashed all over the kitchen.
But anyways, I got good 30 minutes workout. I was planning to take rest on Day 7, but I plan to do X-Stretch to compensate for today.

Today it was Legs & Back and AbRipper X.
- Legs and Back – Completed about 50% of the workouts, but it was bit painless compared to previous 4 days. Looks like muscles are getting used to Muscle Confusion.
- Ab Ripper X – I was completely drained out and couldn’t even think about starting Ab Ripper X.
- Recovery time after workout – About 1 hour.
- 99 – Reps with Bands
- Over 300 lunges and other moves.
