Classic Workout for Day 4 is Yoga X. I hate Yoga X. I have some mental block against Yoga X, that I cannot overcome. Instead I substituted Core Synergistics.
1 Hour Core Muscle workout (Abdomen, Back and other core muscles)
I was sweating like crazy, completed about 50% of all the workouts, but gave 100% of my effort.
It took another 2 hours just to recover from the workout.
Follow my progress in P90X – Weight Gain Tracker
My Weight at Day 1 – X
Target Weight at Day 90 – X + 10 Lbs
Day 1 – Chest & Back, AB ripper X
Chest and Back includes several varieties of Push-Ups and Pull-ups.
- Total Push Ups and Pulls Types – 12 (2 Rounds Each)
- Total reps Completed – 249
Abripper X includes about 300 move targeting Abs for 15 minutes. Well, completing 3 minutes kills me. Have to improve on the time.
Day 2 – Plyometrics
I hate this set of exercises. With 100% intensity, I was able to complete only 25 minutes out of 1 hour. I could have come full 1 hour with less intensity.
Day 3 – Shoulders and Arms
Took 1 day break between Day 2 and 3.
All the exercises uses Resistance Bands (or Pull Up Door Bars).
- Total Exercise – 12 Rounds + 3 Bonus
- Total Reps Completed – 322
Couldn’t find energy to complete Bonus 3 Rounds.
I was using HSBC Online savings account to have emergency funds. But, their rates dropped from 5% to 0.80% over the years.
After searching for better online savings rate, I opened the account with Discover Bank (Online Savings) account. Right now, they offer 1.15% APR. Mint.com pulls the data from Discover Bank, so it makes it easy to manage the budget and cash flow.
I looked at Ally and ING Orange.
It would be nice to have separate sub-accounts within Discover Savings account like ING offers.
PS – Savings Account in India pays about 7 to 8% in interest rates. I can send the money to India to earn higher interest rate, but if exchange rates drop, those extra savings will be vanished in a flash.

We planned to have good time at Taste of Morrisville. But, the rain played the spoiler role.
Original plan was to go to the event at 3 PM, but neighbors decided to at 4 PM. Unfortunately it started raining at 3:45 and we reached theer around 5 PM.
Event was supposed to be till 7 PM, but they closed the stalls and all restaurants were in packing mode.
Then we drove to Kadambam (Indian Grocery Store), got a tamil movie.
Instead of Taste of Morrisville day, it turned to be Dinner + Tamil Move night.
Even after watching the movie, I cannot remember the name
Last week we spent 3 days in Las Vegas. While searching for Hotel deals, I came across $20 sandwich trick to get free hotel room upgrade. I was skeptical and so does my wife. But, we decided to give it a try.
$20 Sandwich
$20 sandwich is similar to Chicken Sandwich. Instead of bread and chicken, we have the following
- ID (Driving License)
- $20 Bill
- Credit Card
Free Room Upgrade with $20 Sandwich
We walked to the desk to check-in into the room at Excalibur. Gave the $20 sandwich (or called as credit card sandwich). Person who was helping us put the card on the table and she saw the $20 bill.
I asked “do you think we can get a complimentary room upgrade”. She smiled and replied “Let me see what I can do”
After few minutes, she gave free room upgrade for 2 rooms (3 nights).
Our room had the view of the strip (MGM, New York New York) on 24th floor.
Room was on new renovated Tower 2. Great view, good mattress and clean.
When you plan your trip to Las Vegas next time, try using this $20 sandwich trip/trick.

I came across this interesting blog post
Telephone Landlines
You can’t deduct the cost of your home telephone line, even you use that phone for your business.
- Tax Cheat: You can, however, deduct the cost of a second telephone landline or a cell phone that is used exclusively for your business. In addition, you can deduct long distance and similar charges on your land line if you prove business use.
Commuting Costs
You can never deduct the cost of going to and from work, no matter how far you live from the workplace. Even if your commute is expensive, the burden is a non-deductible expense.
- Tax Cheat: Work-related travel expenses are deductible. This includes costs to visit clients and vendors, going to a business meeting away from where you work, and traveling back and forth during the workday.

So everything started off good with my Husband’s Bday. Had a couple of surprises for him. Started with Lunch Buffet at Biriyani House, one of his favorite KABAB place and ended with a small party with the neighbors cutting our favorite or should say America’s Favorite – Cold Stone Cake. The next day being Valentines Day he received his fav box of LINDT Chocolate. Evening he planned to treat me for dinner. We decided to go to Apple Bees but considering the crowd and a year old, we decided to go Indian.
We picked on PARADISE INDIAN CUISINE not that it was our romantic favorite but I haven’t been there. Main reason was it was too pricy compared. Being a special day we were ok with the cost. So on the way to the restaurant I double checked with him that the dinner expense will go into Personnel Gift category and not into Restaurant category. P.S. Its only Feb 14th and MINT.com highlights my Restaurant category in RED.
After finding a seat in the restaurant my year old want to jump on the table to touch the light. After a couple of looks from other valentines dinning near by we decided to do a to-go and drive back home. 9pm and both of our stomach started growling in hunger. Imagining about the Lollipop Chicken , Chicken Tandoori , Hyderabadi Biriyani made me jump into the food once he was back home with the To-Go.
Silence for first few minutes. Once we get out of the hungry phase we realize the food didn’t taste good at all. The Chicken Lollipop which is supposed to be the most easiest because all you do is just marinate and fry. You need not be an Iron Chef to make it. It didn’t have salt nor proper marination. $8.99 wasted. Then came the Tandoori Chicken which was another crappy food. You need not have to be on CHOPPED to do it. Still no salt and worse marination. $11.99 wasted. Moment of Truth – comes the Hyderabadi Biriyani. It was bitter !! $ 12.99 wasted. We didn’t even want to save the left overs for next day. Such a worse restaurant in the Triangle. If anyone want to try PARADISE INDIAN CUISINE do it but not on your valentines day. PARADISE INDIAN CUISINE you are on the Chopping Block!
